I
was excited to hear a speaker designed specifically for an SE84C or
SE84CS because it would be another killer recommended loudspeaker at
around the same low cost as the amp. I was most impressed with the
Parker 95's. They disappear well, have an easy to listen to signature
that is smooth and well extended in both directions. They do not
require a sub to sound right, the bass is full without bloat, and they
get plenty loud with a Zen. I feel it's a speaker that will sound right
in almost any room because of its slightly relaxed and very musical
signature.

Special thanks to
Steve Deckert for my Zen SE84B and to Dave Dutill, for the parker
95's - a match made in heaven. Less money, more music. Yes!

I have to say that
from the moment I started listening to them, the Parker Audio 95 MkIIs
sounded excellent. I was totally blown away by just how smooth,
detailed, focused and fast they were. When you start hearing new
details, new textures in music you have known and loved for years then
you KNOW you are onto something good and I was hearing a lot of new
stuff with these speakers! Click

I have been planning a
system for my bedroom based on a Zen Select triode for ages and it is
finally up and running.....................I am running it with the
Parker 95MKII's and it is a match made in heaven.

I just spent a
delightful evening listening to a Zen Select driving a set of
custom-made high-efficiency speakers that were designed for
"flea-powered" amps. We listened to several albums. It was sublime,
involving, musical, emotionally resonant.........words are too limited
to describe it. I listened to favorite albums that sounded new all over
again. Experiences like these are not quantifiable.

Your 98's combined with
the little SE84CS is by far the best setup I have ever had. In fact,
nothing I've ever had comes near competing with the combination of the
Decware amp and the Parker 98's.
The headroom one gets
with a single select is absolutely mind-boggling, and the
intelligibility and lack of congestion in large sounding complex
passages, such as piano, symphony and choral textures is absolutely
amazing.
Many serious listeners
that have heard them at my place have been absolutely astounded;
including musician friends who do a lot of live recording of
classical recitals and concerts; for whom I've played their recordings
through my system. Half of everyone I know is or have been professional
musicians, including myself and my wife.

Last evening,
magic finally arrived, with the new 98's voicing themselves in a manner
that allowed the upright bass to be within touching distance. The piano
notes floated and paused.....................
And the horns were spine tingling in their presentation. Went in and
out of the room several times and the ambience and presence was the same
each time I returned.
The symbiosis has arrived.

They are a
well rounded speaker with a quite neutral and balanced signature; no
noticeably objectionable peaks or dips. The bass extension is fairly
low, fast, and quite a bit less tubby than normally heard in tall bass
reflex cabinets. The midrange is coherent and well defined, with good
clarity, and the highs are exceptionally fast, clean, and warm sounding.
Doesn't sound thick, doesn't sound thin, it just sounds good.
I'd say the
98 Signature model sounds far better than anything that costs so little
has any right to, for sure.

Hi all,
Been reading the posts
here and found some intersting points. Drove down from Baltimore to pick
up the Parker 95 MkII's. Gray, and his family, were very hospitable and
made me feel welcome. The Parkers were set up in a room slightly larger
than his music room and about 4 ft. from the back wall. The Select was
warm and we didn't waste any time diving into the music. The fit and
finish were very nice. The first thing I noticed is that the speakers
just got out of the way of the music, completely. They were crisp, clear
and smooth. The bass was slightly on the thin side, but then, they were
4 ft from the back wall.............. When I got home that eve @ 8:30 I
unloaded the truck and had the Parkers set up and running by 9:00. They
are about 2 ft. from the back wall. I had a bunch more bass than what
was presented in Gray's house. The speakers love my 'A'. A match made in
heaven. Gray did a great job on the speakers and I (and my SE83A)
couldn't be happier. It was worth the drive. I like them better than my
FE206E set up that I had.
I find the parkers
fronting the Imperials to be the best combination of speakers with all
of the Decware amps.

Dissapear they do.. I've
had mine for over three years now and to be honest never really think
about them. They look nice, but don't scream for attention. They sound
terrific....................... Whenever I eye my system and think of
what could make it better, I never even think of the Parkers. I
guess that's the best compliment I can give them.

Dave, I have about one hundred hours on the
speakers now. They are absolutely amazing. I cannot believe how they
sound in these cabinets. I have some $3,000 speakers that I wouldn't
trade these for. No way. No how. The listening experience is
unparalleled in my experience. I do like them better on my ARKAY
FL-10 amps (modifed williamson design) than on the SET I built from
Lighthouse, but I should have listened to their advice when I asked
about your speakers. I asked them their opinion and they advised the
Parker's were an excellent choice, then I bought something else. Go
figure. Well, I'm on track now. I'm looking for
a set of cabinets to put some 98's into. I have to do it.
Thank you.
